Time-out

vvnrose

Oh how the gentle wind blows
The sun blankets my skin in warmth
The birds are all in melody
And I can rest
There's no phone ringing
A job that will have to wait to be done
A marriage where two have yet to become one
And the babies, bless their darling hearts
Even they won't be calling my name
So I can hang my head once and not feel shame
I'm taking a time-out
A moment where I can freely be
Without dependencies

Amen! My phone has been dead for three days and I am in heaven! It's great to sometimes let responsibility pass for a bit, to take a break. A time-out. Especially with spring on the way!

Good write. I would love to take time out but have no chance at the moment.
