Noble Knights

Liam Lawless

I would write about Nobel Knights

With their swinging swords.

Dancing with damsels in the moonlight,

Banishing bullies beyond our walls

But, I don't know where to start.

Never have i seen a Nobel act

Of banishing bullies by brandished knights.

Never have i seen the elegant dance,

Of man and woman locked in romance.

I've only seen darkness. Never light.

I've never been protected by the Nobel Knight,

Or seen him in his furious fight,

Against bellowing bullies from dawn till sunlight

I've seen the torment, the treacherous times.

Is it my time to rise?

Become a knight I never saw,

Laying down honour, hope and the law?

And if i were to fall,

Would those i help carry on fighting our war?

A noble cause I would sit at your round table with honor my Lord!
Chivalry cannot be dead dying maybe but dead?
