Jasmina is Her Name

EDamiata

Jasmina

While I can not say I love you, for that would bring you shame,

Another month checks each lunar phase and we wax and wane.

But when you needed rescue you grasped upon my beating heart

What you asked for I gave you gladly leaving not a single part

The crescent moon rises as I gasp beneath these waves of pain.

But God is love no matter how we choose to hear His real name.

Miles remain between us even as our bodies are drawn near

I call your name, you don’t turn away but still refuse to hear.

Sex is just sex, I know, and that is why you chose to let this start

But when you hurt and needed comfort you leaned upon my heart.

You know I love you and I prayed that you would say the same

But I float face down in a black sea, naked, without my name .
