The Darkness

SquareGirl

Into the darkness she fell
Alone in her pain
She sees the light
But there's no warmth to gain

A loneliness so deep
A darkness so black
She sees no way
Of going back

She has no joy
Just an endless sorrow
Her pain inside
Is all that follows

Like a ship out to sea
Cought in a storm
Being thrown to and frow
No calm, no norm

The sadness inside
She hides behind a frame
Everyone sees the smile
No one sees the pain

She keep herself hidden
Away from the world
Her shell is all they see
Not the scared little girl

The self hate she feels
Is like a razors edge
She cries every night
Alone in her bed

The clouds up above
Drop rain made of glass
The internal wounds
Turn into a cancerous mass

The weight pushing down
Is to much to bare
Through all her attempts
She finds no one to care

Her cries for help
Have no sound
They go unanswered
Because no one's around

The light that once filled her
Has gone with the years
Now all she has
Are nights filled with tears

Inside a storm is brewing
On the outside she is calm
It takes all she has
Just to hold on

She longs for the day
To feel the warmth once again
But if it finds her
Can she let it in

The aching in her heart
Is like no other
A yearning so strong
For another

A friend is needed
Someone that cares
A feeling of belonging
Is one that cures
