Timeless

ToniSears17

When time has ripened me as though I were a rose pressed between the pages of the same book I had once taken a fancy to in my youth

I will be sturdy like the roots of a tree that has been standing for decades branches firm bark as strong as can be

As beautiful as the golden grains of sand that gather together in my hour glass of time flowing as gentle as a stream that I soaked my feet in as a youngster at one time

Illuminating my surroundings like the sun when it shines on a Sunday morning peeking through the kitchen blinds like beams at first light I'll be something like forever not calculated by time

Another trail blazer who's past has truly been remarkable a pioneer of sorts basically someone who has been there and back who won't stop till she has reached the end of the road

Beautiful images, similes and metaphors galore, make for a lovely poem. We do ripen with age, and grow sweeter too. Your poem is gorgeous. Loved reading it.- Phil A.
