Ease

---mari0

Hearing his smile.

It's the smallest

change in his voice.

Some may not notice.

It's subtle but

I hear it clearly.

I can't see him

but hearing his smile

brings the image

of his face to mind.

He's happy.

He wears happiness well.

Smiling suits him.

Smiling with his

whole face,

in his eyes too.

In this moment,

the song he shared

with me

plays in the background.

And behind his eyes

I see not only a smile, but

there's appreciation

and comfort.

Ease.

It's infectious.

I smile just from

hearing his,

even though

it's the smallest

change in his voice.

Exceptional. "Hearing a smile," that's brilliant. And with "it's the smallest change in his voice," it becomes poetry. If this is an indication of how you write then you must continue to post here. Loved this one. More, Please. -,Phil A.

Thank you very much. That was the first poem I have written of my own volition. I'm glad you enjoy it and I shall do so.
