Emotional Death

AmySnitzel4

The saddest thing to watch is the death of love, it's a death that dies slowly and silently. You did this to me ...you killed the Heart that once admired you , adored you , trusted you , loved you . With every secret you kept, every lied you told you slowly sliced , mutilated and watched me bleed an agonizing death. You question as to why I'm different , why I changed ? I evolved into what you created me to be , a woman whose sensitivity you ripped away , who cares no more . A woman who no longer gives a damn. I'm now the woman who sees your bullshit and now sees your truth . Blame yourself for this creation. This woman will never be the woman you once knew .

WELCOME AMY ~ Thanks for sharing your first poem and with it the PAIN in your HEART. I hope you found it cathartic ~ this is a very empathetic site and already you have had some very gracious comments. Sometimes I am ashamed to be a Man ~ it is generally Men who are the heartbreakers ~ when (in my experience) it is the Ladies who have so much more to offer in any relationship. Your poem is a rebuke to Men and warning to Ladies. In your case is it "Better to have loved and lost ~ than never to have loved at all" ~ only you can judge. I have never hurt or been hurt ~ to the extent you describe ~ but I can empathise from experience. Thanks for caring and sharing ~ Thinking of you ~ Please check my Poems ~ Thanks BRIAN (UK)
