Sleep

Tris Eaton

I sit here
Staring
Wanting to sleep
Just sleep
And never wake up
Not die
Just sleep
Stay in dream land
Where nothing is real
And it doesn't matter
If something goes wrong

I want to say
What I need to
But I'm too scared
To say
What I need to
It might bring me
Some relief
But I don't know
What else will happen
I need to
Say something
But I'm terrified
If I dream
I don't need to worry
Because it isn't real

Being unable to do,anything is a common theme in dreams, especially those terrifying ones. Nicely done.
