One step forward 

500 steps backwards 

a roman mile 

a child’s smile 

ear to ear 

its obvious 

we all die 

some sooner than others

but everyone lies 

falling down the rabbit hole 

you soon lose your soul 

you left it in a bottle 

you wanted the weight of your mistakes to leave 

it’s as light as a feather 

this is what you wanted 

this is what you needed

rather later than sooner.
