A duck in a pond

Cole

A duck in a pond
looking beyond
sees his reflection
hates his complexion

He tries to fly
with no goodbye
to no avail
he cannot sail

There's nothing left
loves bereft
he cannot stay
he runs away

A duck in a pond
looking beyond
cannot escape
to suffocate
