Together.

Fay Slimm.

Together.

I am me,
the product of timeless eternity.
You are you
for whom wisdom created earth's beauty.
We are
citizens of great universality.
Let us
make it a place in which Love is the rule.

There are those
who would of a whim destroy nations
Bring to quick
end proven power of regeneration.
You friend
are he who can change course of history.
I am she who
though weak can add the weight needed.

We individually can make a difference
which is believable.
Together humanity will alter the past if
they choose lasting peace.

A fine write. The only ones who won't make any difference (did they ever?) are those in 'Neighbours'. Well, apart from bore us to death! heehee.

Unity of spirit, so often dreamed of, so seldom realized. The world could so easily be a place of peace and harmony but for the greedy and the power seekers. Your poem calls upon all of us to speak out and to force the power mongers to release their huddled masses, to push the greedy from the thrones of power and to ensure that all men are equal. Great write. Got me all fired up. - Phil A.

if we all give peace a chance.. there is a chance for peace... the togetherness is the crucial ingredient ... nice thought .. I live in hope.... N

Wow - thank you for resurrecting an oldie again Nev - - this one I had truly forgotten - - though a bit stilted and in need of a tweak some of the thoughts on togetherness are meaningful. Like you I live in hope ..... night now and sleep well my friend.................. x
