No One To Help

anoldwoman

What will you do

should the worst happen to you?

Dying is not the problem.

That's easy to do.

Living but incapacitated is

where I'm coming from.

What will you do

if you have a stroke,

break your leg or

go completely broke?

Who will be there

to help your need?

Who have you saved

of those you've deceived?

Who will come to your aid?

One of those whose lives you made

a lie, an illusion,

a dire night shade?

You threw love away.

How many times?

Your fear caused you to run

away from the binds.

So sad that you should throw away

the ones who would help you through your day.

It will come. That, I know to be true.

And then what will happen to you?
