Riding Solo

kaitlynn owens

Im not like a peice of cake. If you choose to love me what you get is what you take. Im sorry but its hard to trust. All the people I loved left my heart in a bust. Excuse me if my hearts a little cold but the point that my heart keeps breaking is getting old. I've hurt people before I know but I can't dwell on my mistakes I have to let them go. My hearts done being broken by a few ton. Earn my trust because its gone. I won't let my heart get broken anymore by anyone. If love is so real then why do people let it go. If they want me to believe it proof is something they will have to show. Until then ill be riding solo. Ive been with with people that i thought were as sweet as melodies. Funny thing is a lot of them turned into tragedies. I dont know how people can break hearts without ripping themselves apart. I can't see how people can play people like video games and still not feel shame. People then feel like they aren't good enough and honestly i feel the same

WELCOME KAITLYNN ~ Thanks for a very honest first poem ~ but tinged with the sadness of a broken and scared heart ! New Mexico is an awesome State and I am sad to see a lovely New Mexican Lady riding SOLO ~ QUE LASTIMA ! I can understand why you are so proud of this poem it throbs with rhythm and rhyme and consequently it is excellent to recite ~ I'm a performance poet. Men are the same the same the World over ~ even in ROSWELL ~ New Mexico ! I apologise for our behavior ~ "We always pluck the sweetest rose ~ and crush it 'til the petals fall" I am sorry your experiences of LOVE have left you riding solo to The MOON ! Thinking of you ~ thanks for sharing such an awesome poem ~ BRIAN (UK)
