Mother and Child

Maria Lees

What colour is my skin Momma?

Your skin is black my child.

Why is it black Momma?

To protect you from the sun my child.

Is everyone like me Momma?

On the inside, we are all the same.

Who is my neighbour Momma?

Your neighbour is all Mankind.

Are they hungry too?
