What is a teacher?

Is it someone who gives wings
To those who are eager to fly?
Or is it someone who lights the fire
To those candles that are ready?

 

Is it someone who understands
the fears of being a student?
Or could it be the kindness
that they bring into their class?

 

Is it someone who challenges
a student to the next level?
Or perhaps it's the positivity  
that is an on-going smile?

 

To teach is to be a light in the dark.
To teach is to spread determination like wildfire.
To teach is to help them write their own story.
But most importantly what is a teacher to you?
