Tides 🌊🌊🌊

LilMiss1988

On my back I let the waves carry me out into the unknown, a blanket of stars and the moon staring back at me I realise I'm not alone.

The sound of the waves crash around me, as they rock me to sleep I'm content as can be.

This is where I want to stay, all my scars are washed away. I let my salty hair down, and let myself go. I feel alive, as the blood in my veins flow.

My ship will continue to sail on, through the night and into dawn. No storm can bring me down, I refuse to sink.

  • Comment from author about the poem: Its amazing to me how not one single wave is the same. Always being pulled back out to sea, yet it always finds its way back to the shore ❤️
