Fleeting though the day shall pass and time will mark it well
Remember those days that passed, the story of years to tell
Remember first those precious days when we were but small
And all the world seemed a daze and all we wished was tall
Time did pass and we did grow as the world beckoned
We wished to see, to do, to know, and follow any whim, any we could reckon
We stubbed our toe and scraped our knees when fallen,
But up again we up and went, as if we were callen
For the world waited, brightly it teemed and shone
We didn't care that we could be hurt, or that we were alone
But still as always, time did onward run
Things were fast, smart and witty, things had gotten fun
Then that day did all of a sudden come
when we looked on a strangers face and love did find a home
We cared no more for the bright things around
One set of eyes held us forever bound
Since that day we came to know pain but saw it not
Come the rain, come the grey, only those eyes we sought
But as love does often do, it came again and went
Time had again run its due, and that love was spent
We wracked and wept, heart torn far asunder
For the pain of lost love had begun to pull us under
Only time and life ambitious rush, pulled us back from loves quite terrible push
Yet here we are once more, standing on our own
Life and love tested us, and these our seeds are sown
Never forget the time when you were small
For at least your wish was granted and here you are standing tall
The circle goes on and still there's tale to tell
Show the world you haven't forgot and wear those lessons well.

Very good write, in life we must always learn and then we can look back on our life and feel happy about it.
That's what this is about, how we learned
Much food for thought in this well written verse about learning from life. The circle of time indeed goes on and we need to enjoy all we can in the tale it tells. A compelling read.
Thank you!
