The Battle

MoonDreamer684

What if we already know heaven

What if we already know death?

What if, what if, what if?

What if we visit heaven in our dreams,

Conversing with God and forgetting thy holy grounds as soon as we fall back asleep,

And waking up in the limited world,

The beauty of the infinite, boundless, realistic fantasy too great for a mortal to

witness and remember.

What if we pass by death on our way to life,

It taking the form vanity, envy, or greed,

The power of its painful truth substantial

But not enough to break through the barrier of human lies woven together with grief, resentment, and regret.

What if these two wonders were not 2 separate things,

But one huge jumble of thoughts, memories, and assumptions,

Forever fighting an unwinnable battle
