Smiles Of Lies { 18 and over!!!!}

violetprincess

Beauty of great.

She walks slow in the halls.

Everyone  knows her,

or so they think.

They don't know what goes on behind closed doors.

Home is an evil beyond words.

School is her safe haven.

Smiles but not a real grin.

She lies to everyone.

She lies to herself.

School is out.

She shivers.

She is scared but ashamed to let it show.

Gets home.

She runs to her room.

She hides under  her favorite blanket.

Holds her only friend tight against her heaving chest.

Her bedroom door opens.

In he walks.

"Sister dear, time to play."  Her big brother  taunts.

For they don't play. He tortures her.

Every night and day.

When done he leaves her.

She lays like a rag doll.

 Past  midnight.

Mommy and daddy are a  sleep.

She sneaks into their  bathroom cabinet.

She takes the whole bottle of  pills.

Mommy's sleeping pills.

Drifts into a deep sleep.

Smile on her lips.

No longer lying for,

dying was the only escape from her brother's evil touch.

  • Comment from author about the poem: its just sad to walk around with a fake smile and fake happiness. But death shouldn't be a way out. Help those around you.

WELCOME PRINCESS ~ Thanks for your first poem. Elegantly penned in free verse and throbbing with rhythm as befitted the subject. The subject was as equally sad as the structure was elegant. Incest by a Brother on a (younger) Sister ~ much against her will is one of the worse crimes imaginable ! To me my Sister is like an Angel ! Sometimes ~ alas ~ death is the only way out ! Thanks for caring and sharing ~ Yours BRIAN (UK) Please check my Odd Odes ~ Thanks B
