Ask

Ruby Leighton

And i do it because

i love Him

when i sit passenger side and

the night falls

i look at the stars and think my god

The stars were made just for You

and god knows they shine just for You

because i asked him to

And i do it because

i love Him

when I sit passenger side and

he speeds up

god forbid if an old oak tree fell and we

crashed and died

god forbade all tragedy from You

because i asked him to

And i do it because

i love Him

i look in Your eyes and see the sun

orbiting earth one hundred times

how You pioneer that transition

Your power is flawless

and god knows that

guess why,

because i asked him

And i do it because

i love Him

the comfort of Your car sends me to sleep

i wish to never wake alone again

and yet I feel it in Your voice

how You wish i would have sat in the back instead-
