Strafing stealthily to repel attacks,
Also in talks to create pacts,
The fronts of character shall come alive,
So busy bees we become in our hive.
Discussions of what we do for work,
Our fronts will determine "good" or "Burke",
But do not question so hastily,
As your assumption could be sickly.
Those that try to earn their crust,
Or those that charm with their musk,
So prizes can be won by luck,
Therefore your speech could be amuck.
Remember these fronts that we put on,
Are coping tools, as warm as the Sun,
Thus in sweet stench of fakery we play,
To create a brighter and better day.

- Comment from author about the poem: This short poem is about the little white lies we tell, in order to keep the cards which hold our true selves close to our chests. Thus we put on fronts as both a protective shield and as a playful entity, to keep social situations fresh and more entertaining. Although in all seriousness and in the long run, in my opinion it is better to be yourself. Hope you enjoy.
