What If?

Joyleen

What if I didn't look the way I do?

Then, would you love me?

What if I told you I appreciate you

Would you love me?

What if I told you that I can't look you in the eye when I am talking to you, because I don't want it to end

Then, would you love me?

What If I told you that I reminisce every moment we've shared through every passing day, just to feel close to you

Then, would you love me?

What if I told you that I practically hold my breath every time I see you with her hoping to blackout and wakeup never remembering that I ever loved you?

What if I looked like her?

Even then, would you love me?.

I really like the closing two lines. A final sad realisation beautifully worked up to. They are almost vivid enough to stand alone. Well done.!
