I'm sorry you began to leave

So long before you closed the door
While I was paying every bill
And working every penny left.
And could not yet start to believe
The denouement you had in store
And did not even look until
You left us here one mum bereft.

        I think we can be quite dark and offer hints of gruesome bleak ideas that lurk in the dark side of our head (mind, soul...) in a whole variety of ways even humour.
        Have you read \'did he fall...?\' makes me chuckle despite its macabre side.
        Also lots of Roger Mcgough \'s poems present lots of counterpoint of style with content. Jeez i sound like Melvyn Bragg.
        I mean they are written funnily but are often very dark and serious.
