Troublous Times

Fits tune: Gute Baume Bringen

('Christian, dost thou see them')

Psalm 55 part

**********

Give ear to my prayer God

You this earth have trod

In person of Christ sure

Our Saviour e'ermore

Hide not Lord from my voice

I make you my choice

Hear all supplications

From your daughters, sons

Attend unto me here

Troubles sore are near

I mourn, wander, roaming

My complaint I bring

To you, for I needy

Voice of enemy

Has oppressed me, troublous

Come to me, me bless

My heart severely pained

Terror on me rained

Like terrors of death dark

Unto me now hark

I fearful and trembling

Prayers to you I bring

Horror has o'erwhelmed me

Pity me, me see

Then 'twas my thought, desire

That I may go far

From my troubles flying

Like dove, wings m bring

Then I far off should go

Escape the storm, so

Dwell in wilderness sure

'Til distressed no more

I shall my burden cast

On the Lord, and last

Sustained by Him strongly

He my refuge be

He has never approved

Righteous to be moved

But shall keep them wholly

In Him they be free

How come I've found the truth then, Soul? Have I? And should I block you, seeing as you seem to have blocked me from commenting or replying to you?
