Pain

JasmineP

What is pain?

Is it the Throbbing agony of knowing more is to come?

Is it the Cries of the Body

Are They the Cries of the soul the suppressed sorrow of tomorrow?

My Pain is neither.

Pain is the guilt of your soul boiling through your pores.

Keeping your soul from crying out for help.

Pain is the darkness of your heart.

The cries that form a crooked smile.

The regrets of the would've should've and could have's.

Razor blades and salt against your thick skin.

The stings of release while sighs of death

as pieces of your soul leaves your body.

Growth is a part of the pain.

The pain of a newborn baby finally freed from its mother's womb.

The agonizing pain of this new body called growth

That my friend is pain
