Tricked

Bay

I thought about you again

Of course that's nothing new

For every thought I think about,

Always ends in you.

But today is different

Today it hurts just a little more

Because today is one more day

Than the one i faced before.

One more day without you

One more day alone,

One more day to pretend,

the pain with somehow go.

But then again I'm tricked

By the oldest in the book,

Grief doesn't stop

No matter how hard you look...

Very poignant. I particularly like the first verse. Also the last two lines of the second are very striking. Good writing well done.
