Applying for a Rose

Bibbeck

In the office today

Flowers start to bloom

You're so happy

A pay rise soon.

Bad weather comes

The frost takes a bite

The flowers all die

Lost your job overnight.

The Job Centre's flowers

Have all been picked

You're left with the petals

And the dead stick.

Out of work

You're full of sorrow

You're on the dole

But there'll be flowers tomorrow.
