Marching on, their heads held high
Truth and passion seemed to guide their path
A force so powerful, no one could deny
All injustice wavered against their wrath
Some were turned by corruption
Others bled, but would always continue battling
Going forward with courage, despite being ashen
No matter what we did, they kept on coming
So many times had we destroyed their dreams
They crumbled and shattered into pieces
They had fallen, yet their hope would still gleam
Their flame of war and righteousness never ceased
In the darkest of times they glowed
No matter the enemy, they showed
Blood behind them, even if they were crying
They would just keep on coming
A million times we will fall
Every time we will stand tall
The honest beckon at our call
For freedom, we will fight even if we must crawl

I really like that last line
'for freedom we will fight even if we must crawl'
powerful
Thanks!
This reminds me of a great book I read, too bad I can't seem to remember the title. -izzy
Thanks for the comment, let me know if you ever remember that book!
I went through my books, and list of books I've read, and it's like a combination of Red Queen and Assassin's heart
Freedom can be there but we first need to 'Give Peace a Chance'.
Good write.
