Lets think about the kids

The world we live in now is filled with problems
More problems than when our parents were young
Problems that are getting solved with a camera, a like, or a cops handgun
We go about our lives looking out for ourselves
Society made us more selfish, we rarely have time to help

Helping a family in need,
In our society is perceived,
As a post on a social feed,
With us commenting "i agree",

Wheres the human element in our communication,
Why do we segregate our own nation,
Is not freedom for everybody, do all lives matter or is it dictated by pigmentation?

Family values is whats missing in the youth,
But what do they expect us to do?
Broken homes are more common, so we are more commonly confused,
Confused on what a man or woman should do,
In terms of respecting, loving, guiding one another, and standing on the truth,

I ask myself, in this world i live in what is my role?
Seems like my generation is lost in terms of where to go,
Now ask yourself, if we all do not know what is the right road,
Will the world we give to our kids be one of growth?
