Hidden Scars

refinn_elyo

the feeling of your skin

against mine

helps me forget

the parts of myself

I do not love

but your touch alone

is not enough

for the scars

your fingertips trace

whisper louder

than the lips

from which one speaks.

    Amazing.

WELCOME FRIEND ~ Thanks for your first poem ~ which explores how you think rather than how you feel. This is a very empathetic site and you will have a lot of support and understanding. As we grow older we all carry SCARS ~ internal & external ~ and their PAIN often overrides any pleasure we may feel from Human touch ! Thinkin' of your an' Prayin' for you ~ Yours BRIAN (UK) Please check my poems ~ Thanks B.
