Heartstrings

Baylee

My mind wakes
Bliss diminished
Half my heart
Belongs to the wicked

Stiff from sleep
with aching limbs
my stirring body
belongs to the day.

Wishful thinking
And sad poems
Consume my thoughts
Tugging on heartstrings within my heart

Spirit wanders lost
within a realm heartache
loneliness and confusion echo
with every step that I take
