is heartbreak, she sings doleful

of the heart's sweet bleeding

of silken love unrequited 

drenched in the light of bare moon

she is subconsciously sought after

by those who dance in the pit of their minds

and relish strong, raw emotion

they are true artists,

painting with grey feeling 

using searing dejection as ink

heartbreak- her hands delicate, body frail

she grows older and sterile

but we still search for her golden figure

and snatch pieces of mournful song
