Silence!

Bibbeck

Silence is a dream

A distant dream

So far away

It can't be seen.

A silent dream

A silent scream

So silent

It can't be heard.

"Silence!"

The teacher screams

And silence echoes all around.

An autumn leaf falls

Softly, silently to the ground.

The congregation echoes "Amen!"

As the silent prayer comes to an end.

The sun setting so silently every evening

Beneath the glowing horizon.

A gentle flowing river, in a valley

So quiet it seems

Until it comes out

Into the roaring, rushing sea.

Silent secrets

Told in confidence

For no-one to hear.

People watching, staring

With silent eyes

People listening, learning

With silent ears and silent minds.

Mime stories told

With silent hands

The movements flowing

With no sound.

Silence surrounds us

There is silence all around.
