Shadows in my dreams

Darkness is what I see,

When people are next to me,

Appearing in shadows,

With no sound to speak of.

 

I feel alone in my darkness,

Even in my dreams,

These shadows look at me,

And still do not speak.

 

I look in the mirror,

And see the loneliness taking over me,

Following me deep within,

I cannot shake these shadows looking over me,

Soundless without the capability of speech.

 

Broken memories,

Hopeless dreams,

Floating thoughts,

Scrambled speech,

Makes me lose my confidence,

And turns everything to shadows,

Making me forever lonely,

And shut off to the world,

And lost in my fears.
