Human Race

misaacs72

Differences amongst us is natural,
Difference amongst us create conflicts and battles,
Is a man your enemy because he worships a different god than yours?
Is he evil because he does not fit your society's norms?

No matter the color or the values in which our lives dictate,
Different we are, but we are all the same human race,
Racism, war, and segregation are instituted by those
Who do not see one race, but different individuals,

Classification turns the human race from "we are one" to "them",
As we are taught to refer to our race as black, white, rich, poor, man, or women,
Why are we taught to be proud of our differences and how we are portrayed?
Why are we not taught to be proud of what makes us all the same?
If we as people focus on what makes us all the same,
Then maybe we all can make a change.

Good write and good thoughts. "Why are we not taught to be proud of what makes us all the same?" a very true line.
