Just like Peter Pan
To me you'll never grow old
You have contributed to all that I am
And I'm not TOO bad as far as I'm told
I love you to the moon and back
A phrase which has lost its meaning
That of a love that will still remain in tack No matter how distant the other being
A mum to me you have always been
A constant caring figure by my side
Yet never preventing me from breathing
And are forever watching me with pride
I know I don't always show I am grateful
For all that you say and do
I hope you know Just how much
I honestly do love you
You have held me when I'm crying
And helped me put aside my fears
You bring about all my laughing
And wipe away my tears
So mum this ones for you
For all of that unconditional love
It's a thank you that's long overdue
Because In you I always trust

A verse of appreciation to a well loved Mum and so full of reasons for gratefulness makes this an unforgettable read - Your dear Mother will surely treasure each word .Rebecca - - a rhyme worthy of a wider readership.
Good write and love shown to your mum.
I loved the way you put your feelings into the poem and made it come alive. The way you did this is far more complicated than it seems. Beautiful.
