Why do many of us
mask ourselves in vanity?
We dress as spectacles
so that others may give us
the adulation we so desperately crave
in their enthusiastic cloud…
…Only to look back
at the long gallery of mirrors
that left us feeling empty
inside the crowd

Well.. I get what you mean..people who are "Label Whores" drive me nuts. I LOVE fashion and I love PUSHING the envelope with fashion, but I shop at second hand stores. I find all kinds of unique stuff for dirt cheap...I am not vain, just like to look good and be different.
