You were as beautifull as the little shoes that children wear.
Your beauty touched me that way.
I can't explain the why of it.
Something in me responded
with tenderness and hope and love.
You were as beautiful as that moment you told me you were pregnant,
when I knew just before you told me, and then you did.
You were as beautiful as your tears
As I lay our daughter in your arms
And you whispered
Earnestly
"I hope she'll like me"
Now
You are as ugly as a news story police action;
full of self righteous disregard
for decency or truth.
Damaged children,
mutilated lives,
hubris.
Now you are as ugly as your snear as you told me my constant and enduring love
was an unreasonable imposition.
Now you are as ugly as the way you left,
your underwear in the basket
still moist with the cum
of a stranger you ushered in.
The beauty seems far away now,
the ugliness too close.
Like a butterfly crawling back into a chrysalis;
you are gone,
from beauty to ugliness.
Destiny twisted,
corrupted,
your smug victories the destruction of your beauty
Before my sad eyes,
and to my pelagic incomprehension

Woah sensational n soo creatively put. From beauty into ugliness !! This is an amazingly unique sarcastic lament. I'm here to admire it's great poetics and style. Fantastic presentation. Love turned ingrate and ugly in the form of a woman. Kudos.
U r most welcome to review my latest poem too. Pleeez do. I
Thanks:)
I liked your poem about molten things. There's something compelling in watching things melt, transform. I guess that was what my poem is about , maybe that's why you liked it 🙂
Good emotive write, it is so sad when love is lost.
