Endeavouring Evangelists

orchidee

Fits tune of same hymn name:

'I clasp the hand of love divine'

********

On in Christ's way, the light of day

I go with His presence alway

His Spirit promised for each our

Enduing me with power

Chorus

Come, Holy Spirit, aid

Me, Christ the price has paid

For me, and you the Comforter

Are sent now from Him sure

Where love goes dim, inspire me, do

With love for you, and Christ anew

And for the Father, God of all

He hears who on Him call - Chrous

Spontaneous, and yet the stream

Of consciousness with good its theme

Meditates now a while on you

Only good, only true - Chorus

Forgive where desires turn faint, low

Wind, breath of your Spirit, do blow

As days of old Ezekiel

Strong army you did call - Chorus

Taking our part now by your grace

Love, mercy, truth, all interlace

We all a part, Christ's body we

His church, His people be - Chorus

Spirit inspire strong confidence

That we may rise and go forth hence

Not in our strength, but by your hand (Spirit)

Evangel each land - Chorus

For that the final witness be

When gospel preached to each land, see

To give all opportunity

To be saved, redeemed, free - Chorus

The Christ shall be seen to reign o'er

All heaven and earth for evermore

Kingdom of love, peace, joy shall be

E'en for eternity - Chorus
