My Path, So Far

felio123

I play in the darkness

From there I can see where it gets darker

Or so I believe

I haven't played there yet

People, all of most people

claim it's dark

claim it's bad

claim I get it from my dad

what sense do I make

of the path I take

I feel as if it's been laid out for me

even a path that hasn't been clearly formed

is one that has been left to you

So walk it

take the path

or don't

it still had to be walked

Move forward

Just move

Create, A, Thee, Your

PATH.....................

  • Comment from author about the poem: I've written poems before when I was a kid and really deep in my feelings to myself, now that I am older I feel as if I rather share my words at the moment I feel and write them

WELCOME FELIO ~ Thanks for your first poem which will make us all think ~ QUO VADIS ~ "Where am I going and why ?" We are all on an individual "Journey through Life" and our PATH is conditioned (to some extent) by where we start from (geographically and economically and genetically etc) Nature (DNA) and Nurture (Society). Despite what the US Constitution says "We are all born very UNEQUAL !) Which is why some die before they reach ONE and other now life to be 100+ have many offspring and achieve great things while on Earth etc. In retrospect big & small decisions we make every day set our PATH and determine our FUTURE. Each of us has to ensure that most of these decisions (Big & Small) are the right ones ~ AMEN. Thanks please check my poems ~ BRIAN (UK).
