Immortal Verses

Gino

Palaces of white-washed marble
Mansions of a great blue seal
Transcending beautiful majesties
Across clear blue skies

Lush green gardens
Come and take me in
For I want to recluse in your paradise
Away from the barren and inhospitable
Complacencies of a demented world

A strange collage of shadows and sorrows
Paste over my bedroom desires,
For immortal verses enchant
Their hollow evening candor,
To recite me old wounds
Of a dire and mythical encounter

Fragile innocence,
Don't pardon the master's zeal
For abandoning our roots

In making angels of us all
From the dust of our bones

Exhale the patterns of our ways
Broaden the horizons of our nature
To entertain the immortal ghosts
Surrounding us all
