Love

Anonymous_

Rain hammered down against the darkening sky
I looked up and thought that i could never die
For with you i will be, always
In your ghost forever

The harsh winds that blew then
I didn't mind them
Because it showed me
What i could be

It was like the ocean
In body and in mind
Flowing over me
Like the tide

If you were to say a single thing
You'd never win
Because love cannot be expressed in words
Only feelings and actions

But if you never acted
It wouldn't change a thing
Because your mind doesn't always agree
With the person you were meant to be

WELCOME "A" Thanks for your first poem ~ I love LOVE poems ! Love the structure ~ five neat quatrains ~ replete with rhyme & rhythm ! It is a mystical and enigmatic poem about an absent lover who manifests himself as a Ghost and Tide flowing over you. A love that does not manifest itself in words or feelings or actions a very mystical lover. Some of us can empathise Friend ~ we have all experienced such a lover at least once. Thanks for sharing ~ Yours BRIAN (UK) Please check my poems ~ Thanks B :o)
