I stand alone in the crowded hall

I’m not afraid to walk I’m afraid to fall

I have people who claim to be my friend

But I know they won’t be there in the end

Sometimes I imagine people thinking of me

But the truth is they will never see

For who I am will never be known

Because I am the girl afraid to be shown
