Seven

ttaylorr

It’s been seven months since I’ve tasted the sweet embrace of your lips

But every time I lick mine, there’s still a hint of you there

It’s been six months since your hands have grazed my body

But I can still feel them upon me at my darkest of times

It’s been six months since I’ve been completely entranced by your aroma

But it’s the sweet scent that lingers with me everywhere I go

It’s been four months since you’ve last spoken to me

But I can still hear your voice during times of complete silence

It’s been two months since our eyes have last intertwined

But they’re all I see in my dreams

It’s been seven months since you’ve began to fall out of love with me

But it’s been zero days since I’ve stopped loving you

WELCOME TT ~ Thanks for your first poem ~ excellent structure but a sad subject. SEVEN ~ unlucky for some ~ seven months is a short time and the pain will go on. I have experienced the loss of a Special Love (more than once) and it is only when I have found a new love does the pain begin to recede a little. Thanks for caring ~ BRIAN (UK) Please check my Poems ~ Thanks B.
