7 Deadly Sins

Mandi

Wrath forged into a blade of rage

Wielded to dismember limb from limb

Lust an uncontrollable flaming hurricane

Laying destruction on its desired path

Gluttony devouring all in its wake

Eagerly gorging to the point of no return

Greed a vat of golden colored oil

Roaring and claiming everything its own

Sloth slithering around in the pits

Rendering an eternal petrification

Envy lies deep in the still waters

Freezing stiff and craving others

Pride sails like a bludgeoning stone

Overly confident broken on the wheel

Thanks for sharing (and caring) MANDI ! Love BOSCH a very srrealist Painter and you in your turn have painted a great Tone Poem on the SDS. WRATH ~ LUST ~ GLUTTONY are negative opportunities we face everyday and are three evil DEMONS destroying "Polite Society" GREED ~ SLOTH ~ ENVY these three (and the worst of these is GREED) control Business & Commerce and especially POLITICS ! We all need to have a modicum of SELF ESTEEM but PRIDE flaunts it and often precedes a fall ! Check Galatians 5 (New Testament) for the nine Fruit of the Spirit (Love ~ Joy ~ Peace etc). They are the antithisis of the SDS and the traits we should cultivate ~ Thanks BRIAN ~ Please check my Poem ~ Thanks B.
