Unsuccessful and boredom!!!

P.H.Rose

            Unsuccessful

All hope has gone, a life now lost.
Energy and confidence destroyed. Where possibilities had flourished.
Now a broken dream remains.
This could of be so very different.
Had the outcome followed a path.
To be one step from its summit.
For then so very far to fall.
This day it started brightly.
And then all at once went black.
As if all light in an instance gone.
Never to return this day.
Wander now,no compass followed
I am Lost on stone laden ground.

           Boredom

A day so long no end to reach
Hours to stack before it's end
weight heavy across my chest
Difficult an attempt to breath
Every seven seems as the last
No change in this my circle time
I scream so loud it splits my ear
But non can hear, nor non can see
To them the day seems normal

I'll be away next month and wondering if its worth going - aw heck yes I'll risk it. Great piece - hope you cheer up soon - the summers coming.

      Thank you Michael
      It's always worth it
      And as in the words
      Of Star Trek
      "To explore strange
      New worlds.
To seek out new life and
      New Civilisations, to boldly
      Go where no man
      Has been before"..
Ok a bit ott but you
      Know what I mean..

It can be the toughest thing, P.H. having to return to the grind after having such a great break in routine! Great work expressing the agnst of each situation!

        Thank you WBL...
        I feel pretty great
        Today.. The cloud has
        Passed.... The familiarity
        Of my home helps...
