A place to go from,
A place to be,
A place to pass,
A way to flee,
A river coasting houses,
A stream of wheeling boats,
A death bed to many,
And a life-line to most.
Half a world,
Intertwined by pavement, paint, and peat,
Gears and pistons,
Heaving metal,
Wayward,
A'fore the blazing highway heat,
Yesterday, today, and as long as people seek

I love this work! The imagery is so vivid, the whole time I was reading, my mind was painting a picture of a cracked and dusty highway, worn from the years of travelers going from one place to another.
Aww thanks, I was inspired by a lonely dusty highway. You can't tell the second stanza is an acronym on here though....
Good write. Welcome to MPS.
