THE PALM OF MY HAND

Louis Gibbs

 THE PALM OF MY HAND

The palm of my hand ...

Lines upon lines,

Shapes and symbols,

With meaning to the Mystic

But a mystery to me ...

Only when pressed into yours

Can the magic be revealed.

  • Comment from author about the poem: This poem makes reference to the sublime, very real, spiritual energy exchange that occurs through the palms of lovers holding hands. It will resonate with those who have experienced this blessed phenomena, consciously or unconsciously ... the fortunate ones.

I appreciate that your emphasis is on the interaction between the lovers; a much lesser role for the palm reader.
