Fits tune: Lasst Uns Erfreuen [Let Us Delight]
('All creatures of our God and King')
Psalm 104 v.16 - 28
********
Come let us now give thanks and praise
And some joyful song here up raise
Alleluia, Alleluia!
See all around God's creation
Displayed in beauty, each nation
Praise His glory praise His glory!
Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia!
The trees of the LORD full of sap
They in hills, valleys, rejoice, clap
Alleluia, Alleluia!
Birds there they make their nests their home
And on hills, rocks, goats, conies* roam
Here great wonders, here great wonders!
Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia!
The LORD the moon, sun does appoint
Crowning His works does them anoint
Alleluia, Alleluia!
He gives us darkness, time of night
When beasts of forest prowl till light
God does feed them, God does feed them!
Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia!
The sun arises, beasts to dens
Lay down to sleep, He them defends
Alleluia, Alleluia!
Then man in daytime labour knows
Unto the evening here he shows
So days work done, so days work done!
Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia!
O Lord, your works, how manifold!
Your love and care to all, young, old
Alleluia, Alleluia!
In wisdom you have made them all
You tend to each, long, short, small, tall
We you honour, we you honour!
Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia!
The earth full of your riches is
So too the great sea, wherein this
Alleluia, Alleluia!
Things creeping, they innumerable
And small and great beasts wonderful
You have made all, you have made all!
Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia!
These all your creatures wait on you
For you to feed them, then renew
Alleluia, Alleluia!
That which you give them they gather
You the all-providing Father
Blessing abound, blessings abound!
Alleluia, Alleluia, alleluia!

- Comment from author about the poem: A hymn-poem in 8888 metre (Long Metre = LM) plus plenty of Alleluias - 35 in total here! heehee. And here are some of the creatures in the clip! A coney (or similar?) appears in the clip at the line' Lift up your voice and with us sing'. It's not a cavy - that's a guinea pig.
