Bystander

Voicesecho88

I stand here as they pass me by

No hellos and never goodbye

I stand as they walk on by

The hours fill with boredom and lies

I watch as they run on by

They scream, howl, and cry

I'm unaffected as they skip on by

The children don't know any better

This place is one of great hope and at the same time sadness

You'd never want to be here willingly

Who am I?
